Mrs Sim founded SLGA almost 40 years ago to promote the game of golf amongst  ladies in Singapore.

She was also a founding member of the Queen Sirikit Cup, an Asia Pacific amateur team tournament featuring the best women players in the region. It will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2018 and has produced many LPGA stars including Lydia Ko.

Under her, the SLGA also started  junior golf programs for girls and Koh Sock Hwee was one of many beneficiaries of this program.

Mrs Sim also initiated the Evergreen membership and secured the many privileges we now enjoy.

Now in her 80s, the SLGA Committee  felt that this event to honour her was long overdue.

We hope you will support this event to honour this incredible  trailblazer.

For without Mrs Sim , we wouldn’t be having our Ladies Opens or Evergreen meets or all the fun tournaments we enjoy playing in each year.

Hope to see you at Orchid for a day of joyous celebration..
