Advance ladies’ golf interest in Singapore

Foster camaraderie through social events & competitions

Founded by golf enthusiast Jeanette Sim, Singapore Ladies Golf Association (SLGA) was established in 1979 with its main aim being to act as the governing body for ladies golf in Singapore.

Since its formation, SLGA  has organized social games and  competitions for lady golfers.   It has also started an Evergreen section for senior lady golfers.

Our Mission is to encourage and promote ladies' golf interest in Singapore through the:

Working

as far as possible in co-operation and maintain liaison with, similar Associations of other countries.

Raising

and administering funds for the furtherance of the above objectives.

Doing

all that the Association considers necessary, or desirable, in the interest of its members.

Encouraging

all Clubs to embark on a solid Junior Programme to realise the potentials

Promoting

of the SLGA Amateur Golf Championship, and all other championship meets or golfing meetings and events in Singapore, but excluding individual Club Championships

Obtaining

affiliation with International Golf Societies and other organisations established for the promotion of the sport

Upholding

the Rules of Golf as approved for the time being by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, subject to such local rules as fall within the Recommendations for Local rules made by the Rules of Golf Committee, or that are necessary to meet climatic conditions.

Providing

arbitration, or other means, whereby disputes and/or differences may be settled concerning golf in Singapore.
